Comedy star Jimmy Cricket was told he “hasn’t lost it” after one of his shows at his favourite Blackpool hotel.
The famous comedian performs at various intervals throughout the year at the Lyndene Hotel.
A member of the audience, @Kiryegigs, tweeted his delight after Jimmy’s stint at the Lyndene on Wednesday (16 October).

He said: “Haven’t seen @jimmy__cricket since I was a child when tv had 4 channels.

“He did not disappoint. Top show, for all ages good clean comedy that’s genuinely funny. Jimmy hasn’t lost it!

“Will certainly be making a point to see a show again. Fantastic hospitality from @LyndeneHotel.”

Jimmy himself tweeted: “Back from Hayling Island and here at Blackpool’s hugely successful establishment@LyndeneHotel – I am one of three acts a night alongside resident compère Wayne Lester! ????

Jimmy’s next show at the Lyndene is tomorrow (19 October) and he is also there in Halloween week (30 October – see right for poster).

The famous entertainer will also perform at the Lyndene on three nights during December – 11, 18 and 31 – as part of the festive season.

The Lyndene, perched on the Blackpool seafront, is one of the resort’s unique locations as it welcomes tourists and visitors all year round.

Jimmy, who turned 74 yesterday (17 October), performs in two separate lounges on the same night, along with other artists.

Other acts include comedian Carl Schofield and Stars in Their Eyes winner Peter Sarsfield as Frankie Valli.

Jimmy Cricket's Lyndene Hotel dates in 2019

Jimmy announced earlier this year that he is to spend a FIFTH season at the Lyndene Hotel.

The Belfast-born comedian, who lives in his adopted hometown of Rochdale, has at least two shows almost every month in 2020.

That is apart from December next year, when he performs three times, and February when he has none.
