Jimmy Cricket went on the BBC to talk about the next showing of his comedy play.

He spoke to radio presenter Frankie Connor ahead of a performance of No more Fiffing and Faffing at the Gladstone Theatre in Port Sunlight on The Wirral on Sunday 6 October.

No more Fiffing and Faffing had a highly successful debut last September at the Blackburn Empire Theatre.

As a result, Jimmy has taken it on a tour around the north of England.

The venues so far include The Met in Bury and the Chorley Little Theatre in Lancashire.

Veteran comedian Jimmy wrote the play and also stars in it. Also performing are Jonathan Young (The Bachelors) and actor Colin Meredith, who has appeared in Coronation Street.

He said: “My thanks to Frankie Connor, (the Champion of the 60s music on air), at BBC Radio Merseyside for a fun interview 29.19 mins into the show.

“We talked about the Comedy Play coming to ⁦@gladthea⁩ on the 6th Oct, and he played the theme song!”
