Jimmy Cricket is returning for another dose of festive fun in Wisbech this Christmas.
Last December, the well-known comedian not only appeared in a seasonal show in the East Anglia market town, but immediately on leaving the stage he hopped over to the town’s main square to switch on the Wisbech Christmas lights.
And the visit was so well-received he has been asked back to Wisbech for this year’s Christmas season.
He will appear on Sunday 4 December at The Tower Ballroom, but for two performances instead of one this time, as in addition to the afternoon show (2pm) there will also be an early evening one (6pm).
Like last year’s visit, Jimmy’s return trip this year has been arranged by his good friends Ian and Michelle Larkin.
Michelle runs the Nine Lives Theatre Company in the same building as The Tower Ballroom and students from this performing arts academy will appear alongside Jimmy, 71, as part of the Christmas spectacular.
The show will also feature the talented banjo player Sean Moyses and Jimmy’s wife, the female vocalist May Marion.
Tickets are available from 01945 463440 or from the Etcetera shop in Wisbech itself.
