Teddy bear’s picnic in Bury in aid of charity
Jimmy Cricket helped to raise money to buy teddies for sick children in hospital recently.
The famous entertainer, 71, opened a fund-raising summer fayre – called the Teddy Bear’s Picnic – which took place at Hewlett Court in Bury, Greater Manchester, and was sponsored by the Freemasons.
Hewlett Court was opened in 1979 as a Masonic retirement home for the elderly
It is situated in Holcombe Brook on the north side of Bury near the foot of Holcombe Hill.
