Raising funds for Lancashire church roof
Jimmy Cricket helped to raise funds for a new roof for a 100-year-old church in Lancashire.
The famous comedian, 71, performed at the parish hall of St Nicholas Church, which stands on an exposed hillside location above the Ribble Valley village of Sabden. Dave Prentice (right) also took to the stage to entertain the audience.
Jimmy said: “A thank-you goes to Reverend Jonathan Carmyllie and Bernard who organised the event.”
St Nicholas Parish Church is part of the Church of England. Its charitable objectives include responding to human need, a concern for social justice and proclaiming the Gospel.
