Nantwich club in Cheshire was a ‘pleasant’ venue for comedy show
Jimmy Cricket receives all sorts of requests to perform at different types of venues – large and small – in various settings.
The 70-year-old entertainer often gets asked if there is a minimum-size audience needed for him to appear at a venue.
And his response is: “Without doubt there is no lower limit! As long as there is an audience present, I will perform anywhere, even in the most challenging and unlikeliest of performance environments.”
So when a small social club in the town of Nantwich in Cheshire approached Jimmy and enquired whether he would appear at their venue, he was delighted to oblige.
His visit in mid-June was organised by fellow entertainer and vocalist David Chesworth, who lives in Nantwich and is trying to help keep the club going. Dave and Jimmy are pictured above with Mike from the club.
Said Jimmy: “I thought it was a pleasant venue with some very committed people involved in its running and wish the venue continued success for the future.”
