Back at one of my favourite holiday resorts of all time, Blackpool, and here at the popular #LyndeneHotel for my 8th year run! 🎭 #keepvarietyalive

Jimmy Cricket posted the photos above on social media to mark his eagerly awaited return to the Lyndene Hotel in Blackpool.

The famous Northern Irish comedian began his EIGHTH season at the popular seaside venue on Wednesday 5 July.

He will also be returning this year on 2 August, 6 September, 4 October, 1 November and 6 December.

Rochdale-based Jimmy has dubbed the Lyndene as his “second home” as he has done so many shows at the hotel over several years.

He posted a message on social media alongside the photos of his latest performances there.

It read: “Hi folks! Back at one of my favourite holiday resorts of all time, Blackpool.

“And here at the popular #LyndeneHotel for my 8th year run! 🎭 #keepvarietyalive.”

Entertainers do two separate shows – one in each of the two Lyndene lounges – on the night.

Trivia: The Lyndene appeared as Le Ponderosa in the second series of Peter Kay’s TV hit comedy Phoenix Nights.

Memoirs Of An Irish Comedian already has several five-star global ratings.

One recent reviewer said: “If you want easy reading that will make you chuckle, then this is a brilliant book.

It is now less than a month to go before Jimmy Cricket returns to his “second home” in Blackpool!

The Jimmy Cricket Story is the famous comedian's official autobiography

Jimmy Cricket will sign copies of his recently published autobiography at his live shows.

The story of Jimmy’s life, including 50 golden years in showbusiness, is now on sale.

Memoirs Of An Irish Comedian tells the heart-warming story of his illustrious career – told in his own words.

The book can be ordered from online retailer Amazon here.

Jimmy said he hoped it would “bring back warm memories for older readers”.

He added: “And gives a taste to younger readers of a form of entertainment that seemed to vanish before our very eyes.”

A follower on social media asked Jimmy how he could get a signed copy of the book.

Jimmy replied: “Many years ago, I had a book called ‘Letters from my Mammy’.

“People who bought it would bring it to my live shows and I would sign it!”

The famous Northern Irish comedian is the headline entertainer on an Easter cruise at present.

His tour dates, which include another season at the Lyndene Hotel in Blackpool starting in July, are here.

Recognisable for wearing a funny hat and green wellies marked L and R on the wrong feet, Jimmy has been making people laugh as a professional comedian for half a century.

And he proudly keeps his comedy clean – increasingly rare these days –  making him the perfect family entertainer.

His best-known catchphrases include ‘And there’s more!’ and ‘Come closer!’

He is also famed for reading out Letters from his Mammy, which have provided the material for two published books.

Jimmy Cricket is back at the Lyndene Hotel in Blackpool on 2 November 2022

Jimmy Cricket makes his last appearance of 2022 at his favourite Blackpool hotel next week.

Famous funnyman Jimmy has been performing at the popular Lyndene on the first Wednesday of every month since the middle of the year.

And he is there for the last time until 2023 on Wednesday 7 December.

Jimmy has dubbed the Lyndene as his “second home”.

This is his SEVENTH season at the promenade hotel – read about his 2022 return here.

And he has already confirmed an eighth year of appearances there.

Been touring more this year, but it’s wonderful to be back at the Lyndene Hotel (the 1st Wednesday of every month, now till December 2022), here with Tom the compère/singer/musician and Colin on keyboards!

The first Wednesday in November can only mean one thing… Jimmy Cricket is back at the Lyndene Hotel!

Famous Northern Irish comedian Jimmy currently appears at the popular Blackpool venue on the first Wednesday of every month.

He is performing at the Lyndene next on 2 November and finishes off his 2022 season there on 7 December.

His latest Halloween-themed appearance was on 5 October.

Jimmy posted the photos above afterwards on social media.

Jimmy started his seventh season at the Lyndene Hotel back in early July – read about his 2022 return here.

And he has now lined up his eighth year of appearances at the popular promenade venue.
