Kyle Corrin is only still 12, but showed he has a big future ahead of him in the entertainment world with a stunning performance.

A guitarist as well a singer, Kyle had first impressed Jimmy when he performed at the Strand Shopping Centre in his hometown of Bootle last September.

Jimmy, who was visiting the centre to help with a charity event, said: “Ever since then, I have wanted to encourage Kyle further as I think he has bags of talent.

“Not just because he can sing and perform, but also as he is a good guitar player as well.”

Jimmy invited Kyle to come to one of his monthly JAM nights, where the floor is open to performers who want to try out their acts to gain some confidence.

Kyle came along with his dad and aunt to the January show at St Vincent’s Parish Centre where he sang a couple of songs.

Jimmy said: “He went down really well with the regulars who attend the club and was warmly received.

“I hope Kyle can now get some more live performances under his belt so that he can develop his performance skills further, as I think this young person can go far!”

Kyle, who is planning to audition for this year’s Britain’s Got Talent on ITV, said: “I taught myself to play both the guitar and the piano.”

Jimmy Cricket events calendar

The feature on this website showing all Jimmy Cricket’s forthcoming appearances is working again!

And there’s more! The old calendar, which stopped functioning properly a while ago for unknown reasons, has been replaced by something bigger and better.

An enhanced feature allows fans to subscribe to the calendar if they wish through Google, meaning they can now receive phone texts and email reminders.

There is also the facility for Google maps to show everyone exactly where events are taking place.

Famous Irish comedian Jimmy says: “I’m really excited that the calendar is working again and even more so that it has been improved and will provide more information about my forthcoming shows.

“This will respond to feedback we have been receiving from fans enquiring why the calendar function was not working properly. It just took a bit longer than we expected to be put right – but it is has clearly been well worth the wait!”
