‘A real pleasure working… with this comedy great’ at Preston Playhouse
Jimmy Cricket was described as a “comedy great” and a “real gentleman” following his latest comedy show.
The famous entertainer, 73, headlined an charity evening of music and comedy on Sunday (14 July) at the Preston Playhouse.
Afterwards, compere Carl Gordon (pictured below right with Jimmy) posted on social media: “A real pleasure and great experience for a relative newcomer like myself, working with this comedy great last night….. Mr Jimmy Cricket, a real gentleman and still a great entertainer
The show raised money for Age Concern Central Lancs and the Rosemere Cancer Trust.
Jimmy himself posted afterwards: “My thanks for a great night goes to #BarbaraKeith and Robert who together are the, “New Venture”, singing duo, with compere #CarlGordon and Elvis tribute #PaulScholey alongside Bernadette and Graham who together are the folk singing duo, “Trouble at Mill”. ????”
