Famous Northern Irish entertainer Jimmy Cricket has had a drink named after him!
The Lyndene Hotel in Blackpool, where Jimmy has been performing regularly for a few years, has been selling the cocktail of midori, gin and lemonade.
Midori is a liqueur with a fruity taste of melon and also the Japanese word for ‘green’.
The drink – called The Jimmy Crickett -was advertised by the Lyndene (see right) as its signature drink, priced at £4.90.
“Wow how lovely they named a drink after me! Thank you
@LyndeneHotel A must for St Patrick’s Day Celebrations!” said Jimmy on social media.
The 73-year-old veteran comedian performs in two separate lounges on the same night, along with other artists, at the Lyndene.
His next show at the Blackpool hotel is on Wednesday 27 March.
The Lyndene, which is perched on the seafront, is one of Blackpool’s unique locations as it welcomes tourists and visitors all year round.
