Jimmy's cricket team was the brainchild of the great comedy scriptwriter Eddie Braben, famous for writing scripts for Morecambe and Wise, Ken Dodd and Eddies own fabulously funny programme for the radio, “the show with 10 legs”.
It was brilliantly produced by Mike Craig, and had a stellar cast consisting of Bill Pertwee, famous for playing the Air Raid Warden in Dad's Army, Noreen Kershaw who went on to direct Coronation street and Emmerdale and Peter Goodwright, famous radio impressionist, who to this day is still wowing audiences on the cruise ships.....
